Estate Planning Paralegal
The downtown Fort Worth law firm of Bourland, Wall & Wenzel is seeking a full-time, experienced paralegal to work with their Estate Planning Group in the area of wills, trust, estate and administration, probate, and guardianship. Organization and attention to detail are extremely important in the fast-paced office. Candidates should be detail oriented, self-starter with excellent legal, analytical, customer service, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate is extremely empathetic and capable of offering the highest level of service to our clientele. Professionalism and teamwork are prized, so the best candidate works well with attorneys, legal secretaries, co-workers, clients and their allied advisors, such as accountants and financial planners, and the court. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys, other paralegals and firm member with all aspects of estate planning, trust administration and guardianships.
Responsibilities will include all facets of wills, trust, powers of attorney, estate and probate administration and guardianships, to include the following: organizing and analyzing asset information; strategize allocation to subtrusts; preparation of inventories, drafting probate pleading, including fiduciary reports/accounting, etc.; assisting with Estate and Gift Tax return preparation (706 and 709 forms) and organizing and maintaining client files. Should have ability to disseminate information from bank, brokerage, and other financial statements. Should be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Office.
Education & Experience:
An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an estate planning paralegal. Experience in trusts, estate planning, probate and estate administration and guardianships is required.

- General knowledge of the administrative and operational components of trusts, estates, and guardianships
- Very detail oriented and exceptionally organized
- Excellent proofreading skills and clear and concise communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to tactfully and professionally interact with grieving families
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and maintain own deadlines
- Ability to multi-task
